DR HUANG SHILE ABOUT ACUPUNTURE: A method which eliminates pain and establishes spiritual harmony
– Acupuncture is an environmentally friendly, safe and reliable method of treatment without significant side effects, which successfully and quickly removes and relieves pain in a large number of different ailments – says dr. Huang Shile from Specialist clinic ,,Kina Medika” in Podgorica.
He reminds in this interview for MNE magazin that acupuncture is a natural treatment and talks about the specifics and effects of this method of treatment.
How much present is acupuncture in the treatments you perform in ,,Kina Medika”?
– In our ambulance acupuncture is one of the most common methods of treatment, which has a wide use and functioning.
In which cases it is indicated, how is it implemented and which are the expected effects?
– To explain the basic principle on which acupuncture is founded in one sentence would be a real challenge. In simple words, in Chinese the word acupuncture consists of two characters – zhen and jiu. Zhen represents a needle, that is, a whole set of different needles through which acupuncture points on our body are stimulated, while the character jiu refers to moxibustion, the method of ignition of sticks of herbs, which also have a beneficial effect on the places that are treated with needles. Modern research believes that acupuncture can improve and speed up the natural defense mechanism of the organism.
In clinical practice, acupuncture also has an extremely wide use in a large number of cases. The course of treatment usually consists of four stages. Namely, first with checkup we determine whether a particular patient responds to the method of acupuncture and whether it will yield results in the treatment, then we keep the patient relax and we place him in the most comfortable position, depending on which part of the body stimulation will be perform upon. After that the acupuncture points are defined, disinfected and treated with needles. In particular point, needle operates about 30 minutes, depending on the doctor's assessment, after which it is pulled out, talked with the patient about the effect of treatment and this is where the treatment ends. Patients can expect a more relaxed and natural state of the body, alleviating or eliminating pain and achievement of spiritual harmony.
Is it advisable to combine acupuncture with other methods?
– It all depends on the condition of the patient and the method that for his particular case is best. Sometimes just a combination of acupuncture and other methods has the best effect.
Can patients of all ages apply this method?
– Yes, acupuncture is used to treat patients of all ages.
Are there cases (eg. pregnancy, the diagnosis of a systemic disease, cancer, etc …) when acupuncture is contraindicated?
– Contraindication and side effects with acupuncture are minimal and in practice they happen in an incredibly small percentage. This is a extremely safe method of treatment.
