NEW YORK FASHION WEEK: A dream come true for two Montenegrin designers
Sanja Bobar and Ibro Vukelj represented Montenegro very successfully last night at New York Fashion Week.
– Through a contract that National Fashion Chamber of Serbia has, they were able to present their work at one of four most prestigious fashion events in the world. National Fashion Chamber of Montenegro has recommended Sanja and Ibro for this important event for our fashion scene and affirmation of Montenegrin fashion scene abroad. Last night Sanja already got the invitation to present her work at LA Fashion Week – president of National Fashion Chamber of Montenegro Srđan Lubarda gives his impressions of New York Fashion Week for MNE magazin.
Bobar says that she is thrilled with everything she had found in New York, particularly new business offers, reactions from the audience, organization and the whole NYFW brand.
– As well as Sanja, I had achieved my dream. I had shown my collection in the city I was born and raised in. Everything I do, I do in a memory of my late brother. Tonight my heart is full. Thank you, Srđa and thank you, Svetlana, for allowing this for me – said Ibrahim Vukelj.
During NYFW ,,Plantaže” had, Lubarda adds, successful promotion of their wine and Montenegro.
National Fashion Chamber of Montenegro will send its fashion designers to biggest world fashion events through Serbia Fashion Week.
