MNE MAGAZIN IN BELGRADE: Thirty Seconds To Mars and audience light up the Arena

We will never forget you, said multitalented frontman, Hollywood actor Jared Leto to the audience in the Belgrade Arena at last night's concert of his band ,,Thirty Seconds To Mars”.
These words were followed up by his brother Shannon who walked on the stage with his hand on his heart, thanking the audience. Some of them got sticks from this amazing drummer.
And the audience. It was remarkable and it made this concert one for the books.

– OK, OK. I know we have people from all over the world here tonight. I thought I felt a little of that Russian energy. Did you miss us? Do me a favour – make me proud, I want you to be crazy tonight. Are you ready? – asked Jared Leto and the audience was ready to support this with a shout.
After that he asked if there was someone who wanted to come up on stage and the first one he chose was Hristijan from Macedonia. He saw a Dad with a child and wished they could join him on stage. With that came the first sounds of ,,Rescue Me”, the song all critics unanimously called cathartic. In it Arena was filled with black balloons and the beautiful voice of an audience.
It would not be the only song with a message that night.
After the introductory countdown from 100 to 30, when they took the audience to Mars with a song ,,Up In The Air”, where ,,Kings and Queens of Promise” waited for them, the sky came up on stage with words ,,Do you believe?” that announced the beautiful song ,,Walk On Water” for whom Leto said earlier that was ,,for all of us” and marked a dream, freedom, hope, persistence and in the end change.
,,Hail to the Victor”, ,,Hurricane” and ,,This Is War”, in which, to the lyrics ,,Lift Your Hands Toward The Sun” a remarkable sight was created by raised hands of everyone in the audience making war to all forms of evil by looking toward the light.
– This is our first concert in Serbia. How beautiful is that? – said Jared Leto.

Shannon Leto at one point exchanged his drum sticks with a microphone and sang ,,Remedy”, while his brother Jared decided to put ,,Stay” cover on the setlist.
Then he took an acoustic guitar and started to play and sing ,,Alibi”.
– If someone has a wish, scream, I'll hear you – said Jared Leto.
After a few moments he decided to sing ,,A Beautiful Lie”.
– I can't believe you remember this song. When all this is over, we gonna come up and sing for you, from Serbia to Sankt Petersburg, Moscow to Kyiv, the way it should be – said Jared Leto to the audience in this song that raised lots of emotions.

Another beautiful scene happened when Jared Leto got off the stage among the audience and sang.
,,Stuck” was the song where the lights of the mobile phones were seen again, moving up and down, which, with the jumping of the audience, made a remarkable sight.
– You are such an amazing audience! We love you so much – Jared Leto said afterwards.
,,Closer To The Edge” was left for the ending and again there was time for Jared Leto to pick up the people from the audience who then filled the stage while confetti covered the Arena.
The audience wished for an encore, but after one hour and 35 minutes it was over.
,,Thirty Seconds To Mars” brought songs full of hope for a better tomorrow and the fight for it by spreading light.
