GLOBAL FASHION COLLECTIVE: FromWhere, Nolo MX and Sanjukta's Studio at NYFW
Global Fashion Collective is a platform supporting creative designers from all around the world. The collective produces runway showcases in select fashion capitals with the aim to accelerate the designer's global development, increase their international media visibility, and open up new opportunities within the industry.
Global Fashion Collective (GFC) is proud to announce its participation in New York Fashion Week (NYFW) on February 12th, 2022 @ BKLYNSTUDIOS with City Point BKLYN.
GFC will be presenting FromWhere (Korea), Nolo MX (Mexico), and Sanjukta's Studio (India).
We will celebrate their stories and evolutions of design for the Fall/Winter 2022 season.
Meet the designers
After graduating from fashion apparel major, Designer Young-Eun Lee has built her career as a fashion designer by working in various fashion companies for 10-years. After running a company in partnership with 3-years, she established the brand ,,FromWhere” independently in 2020. She has expanded her field of business from the domestic market to the overseas market and is currently concentrating all her efforts on the growth of the brand.
Luis Corrales, better known as Manolo, is the emergent head designer of NOLO MX Brand based in Hermosillo, Sonora Mexico. With a basis in graphic and interior design, he started his career as a fashion designer in 2017 while in his late twenties after finding in fashion design his true passion. The season's collection will entail a reminder of how kids play, and express themselves with their immense imagination, full of bright colours and a lot of different forms, and infinite possibilities.
Sanjukta Dutta, and Assamese designer, hails from Nagaon near Guwahati. She creates a unique combination of clubbing traditions and prints of different geographies into one unique customized piece of garment. Sanjukta is of the singular belief that clothing and attire is not just a piece of cloth but a key and integral part of every human being and their identity.
