FIRST TIME AT AFWT: Global Fashion collective presented by VFW brings unique designers from Canada and Asia
Global Fashion collective presented by Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) is proud to announce they will be taking part in Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo on Friday October 20th 2017 at Shibuya Hikarie Hall B, Tokyo, Japan. For the first time GFC will be presenting Canadian and International designers’ Spring / Summer 2018 collections, Global Fashion Collective presented by VFW will be the first international showcase the group has taken part in, and whom have established a global platform while maintaining its support for local talent through VFW.
Our line-up of hand-picked talent from across Canada, and Asia, will showcase their designs over the full day of AFWT. Designers who will grace the runway as first-time showers in Tokyo include, EVAN CLAYTON, SAM STRINGER, THIS IS JAMES, ALEX S YU, MARY EBRA, and PROFANITY by LILLZKILLZ, along with MRHUA MRSHUA (China), SAINT JESUS by Maria Jesus Ponce (Chile) and WILDFRAULEIN71 (Japan). Each designer bringing a different feel to the runway with their unique collections. Showtimes are at 3:30pm and
8:30pm.
Global Fashion Collective will open the show, with cutting edge and art couture designers ALEX S YU, PROFANITY by LILLZKILLZ, Sam Stringer, Saint Jesus by Maria Jesus Ponce and Kirsten Ley at 3:30 pm. These designers will display the up and coming trends from SS18 while highlighting modern twist of couture and trendy garments.
The second presentation of Global fashion Collective will highlight contemporary art, with a mix of pop culture by the designers Evan Clayton, This is James, WILDFRAULEIN71, along with MRHUA MRSHUA. Their collections create powerful messages within the designers by the influence of political, personal and artistic expression. These designers will showcase their collection at 8:30 pm at Shibuya Hikarie Hall B, Tokyo, Japan.
